This fall has been a flurry (pun intended) of MGWA action, not the least of which was the MGWA Fall Conference. Hopefully you were able to attend, enjoying a visit with long-time friends and colleagues or found yourself surrounded by new acquaintances. The post-conference survey is always appreciated so we can continue to meet the needs and expectations of our community and once again it showed you appreciated the venue, good comradery, and content. We will plan to bring you another exciting event in just a matter of months at the spring 2025 conference, so look forward to a Call for Abstracts coming soon and please submit your engaging content!
We’ve continued our work to polish the new Board structure and are excited to announce new positions, tenures, and can’t wait to have you join us in the New Year in the open positions! We would love to recruit you and a friend into our crew while we continue make the vision of MGWA of the future come to life!
We hope to see you at the upcoming Winter Social in the East Metro. Look for the announcement very soon and be sure to check out our LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook pages to follow MN groundwater issues of interest throughout the year.
2025 is going to be a standout year for MGWA, we hope you’re talking about the ways you’d like to get together and get involved. We’d love to hear your ideas! Reach out anytime and be sure to jump into our volunteering opportunities for the Groundwater Education Gap Paper Update, Water Clinics, MGWA representation at conferences and of course, fun social gatherings.
It’s been a pleasure to see the progress this year has brought us and we can’t wait to launch into a tremendous 2025, facing challenges and empowering our membership and communities to be lifelong groundwater teachers and students, alike. Our most precious natural resources need each one of us, just like our inaugural year in 1982.
Happy Holidays to you All!
