I am a Senior Hydrogeologist at Barr Engineering Co. with 18 years of experience as a practicing hydrogeologist. A registered Professional Geologist in Minnesota, I work primarily on projects involving hydrogeologic characterization and quantitative analysis of groundwater flow and solute transport in the Midwest and across the country.
I hold B.S. degrees in Geology and Geological Engineering (Geoenvironmental emphasis) from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities and an M.S. in Geology from the University of Minnesota Duluth. A Twin Cities native, I’ve lived the past 20 years in Duluth, where I enjoy the region’s numerous outdoor pursuits, including biking, cross-country skiing, canoeing, and sailing on Lake Superior.
Solving complex technical problems really excites me and I feel fortunate that my work allows me to do this every day. I am passionate about contributing to high-quality scientific work that supports decision-making on projects that lie at the intersection of science, engineering, and public policy. The Minnesota Ground Water Association plays a critical role in advancing the state of groundwater knowledge and practice. I would be honored to serve this group, which enhances the understanding and responsible management of this critical resource to the State of Minnesota and the region.
