Position: Project Manager / Senior Project Manager

Description
GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (GZA) is currently seeking Project Managers and Senior Project Managers in our Minneapolis (Edina), MN office to bolster our team of qualified Environmental Professionals. The successful candidate will have a solid educational background and must be self-motivated with a professional attitude.
This position presents an exceptional opportunity for career advancement managing environmental site assessments (Phase I and II), Voluntary Cleanup projects, and other services GZA brings to the Twin Cities and upper Midwest markets. Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in Geology, Engineering, Environmental Science, or related scientific disciplines and five or more years of experience managing environmental investigation, remediation, due diligence, and State voluntary cleanup projects. Candidates will need to be able to demonstrate excellent communication, report writing, and information technology skills. Advanced degrees and/or professional licensures or certifications are highly desirable. The ideal candidate will be proficient with applicable ASTM and EPA Standards and State regulatory protocols for risk-based investigation and cleanup.
As a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager you will work on a fast-paced team of Scientists, Engineers, Project Managers, and Principals. You will manage teams and projects independently and provide oversight and quality control of junior level scientists. Our close-knit culture will allow you to grow professionally. Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Geological Engineering, Geotechnical, Hydrogeology, or Environmental Engineering preferred
- 5+ years of experience with environmental investigation, remediation, due diligence, and VCPs
- Proficiency with applicable ASTM /EPA Standards and State investigation and cleanup programs
- Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical capabilities
- The ability to manage and mentor junior staff in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to follow directions, and work independently or in a team setting
- Strong communication skills, problem solving and organizational skills
- Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office suite
- Database, CAD or ArcGIS a plus
- 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER and FE/EIT certification a plus
- Professional certifications and/or licensures are highly desirable
- Availability to work Monday through Friday and some evenings and weekends
- Ability to travel locally and regionally
- A valid driver’s license in good standing
